The rain held off and the sun shone (for at least some of the time!) to make our annual Brookburn fair a huge success!!
The field and playgrounds were busy with stalls, games and races and it was wonderful to see so many family and friends support the event.
A huge thank you to ALL of the PTA who were there bright and early setting up and then at the end packing all away. Plus all the school staff who supervised stalls and gave a hand on the day. Please visit our Twitter feed for more news and photos of the day. #keepitchorlton
The Year 6 children returned from a week at Ghyll Head today. They were exhausted yet happy after an amazing week of challenges, outdoor adventure and plenty of fresh air!
During the week they took part in canoeing, ghyll scrambling, orienteering, caving, archery and many more activities, all under the expert supervision of the Ghyll Head instructors. They were all amazing, showing impressive resilience, team work and determination. Most of all they arrived at Ghyll Head ready for new challenges that took them out of their comfort zones and from which they emerged with a great sense of achievement.
Many thanks to all the staff who accompanied the children and especilaly Miss Taylor, Mr Alderdice, Mrs Est. and Mrs McKessy.
